    Re: Daytona 675 for sale

reserves cost money, more cost effective to make a friend to put the reserve in for you Wink

    Re: Daytona 675 for sale

No reserve so its a real deal for sale job, unlike all the other things on fleabay.. the only worry I have really is some shite bag spoiler from Africa of similar wins the friggin thing because they cant read for toffees then I have to approach the losing bidders somehow, and if it were me i'd tell me to go feck meself...

so I need to stay on top of it and weed out the tossers, however I dont think there is a way to stop snipers in the last seconds and if it turns to pi55 then i'm ferked Angry

Also be prepared for the % chunk taken by Ebay at the end now too, so if you get a friend to bid on it and it sells to them you will be paying for nothing.

Just so you have something to go on, we've just sold something for £350 and they took £16 on top of the cost of the advertisement. Angry

    Re: Daytona 675 for sale

Ebay is a nightmare yet at the same time very useful.  The fee's charged really add up if you sell regular. Be careful. But without ebay - katie wouldn't have sold the amount of mirrors she has.  At craft fairs she hardly ever sold anyhting (stopped doing them now) but the mirrors flew out on ebay. She made thousands on it.

It always makes me laugh though - people always think they are getting a bargain on ebay - yet quite often you can get the items elsewhere for far cheaper. I have seen many things sell for more than they cost brand new, because of a bidding war between two or more bidders. They just want to win the item and pay no notice of the cost.

Obviuosly in your case its unlikely to go for more than when it was brand new Smile

If it sells to someone who doesn't pay - or that you dont like the sound of, you can always offer it to the people who were 2nd etc. just you offer at their highest bid. Just explain that the winner of the auction was a bad payer or what ever.

    Re: Daytona 675 for sale

You can always claim back your fees if winning bidder doesnt pay.

They gayest thign ebay has done recently is that all auctions HAVE to have paypal as a payment method. So if your ever selling a car/bike and someone wants to pay by paypal your buggered. Its apparently a breach of policy to refuse paypal payment. Can see it getting quite complicated if get an ass of a buyer who wants to pay by credit card.
