    CBR600 FX race/track bike

If your looking for a track or race bike then Im selling the whole package - everything you will need to go racing (pre injection 600 class perhaps) or just do track days. Cheap and cheerful !

    CBR600FX race bike

The lad I bought this off was up to 3rd in the rookie600 back in 2006 on this bike ! It would make a great PI class bike once you get dialled into it, for little money.

Alas my growing family is putting the squeeze on my cash flow, hence im hanging up the leathers for a couple or three years  :burnout:

It only ever did 5 trackdays in the time I owned it. I did 1.46's round Cadwell on it and last week it did 2.00 round Oulton on my very first visit.

Rebuilt and race prepped by Zak Barry in 2006 (not engine rebuild I hasten to add)
Ohlins rear shock and full K-Tech forks (400 quid job) both new in 2006
Full Titanium arrow exhaust system (not the prettiest system, couple of scuffs, nothing serious)
    Ohlins steering damper
    Proper quick action throttle
    HRC cams and loom
brand new brake disks and performance pads
520 chain and array of sprokets to suit
Race clips on with replacable tubes (like Harris ones, could well be Harris !)
    K+N filter
    PT adjustable rear sets
Recent disks and pads. (Disks like new tbh)
Owner claimed 106 bhp at back wheel. Never verified by me tbh. Not as quick as new bikes but not bad nonetheless.
Dunlop 209 GP Racers, good for another two trackdays no probs, maybe more depending on pace you run.

    Few spares including:

2 full sets of bodywork inc 3 seat units (none of it mint but all useable once painted and fitted)
    Standard bars
    Couple of screens
    Front and rear paddock stands
tyre warmers (rear is a bit shagged but still works well enough!)

The pictures above show it running some track/road bodywork I bought off ebay. I was going to remove the two lights at the front but never got round to it. They arn't wired up to anything, just need popping out and holes filling in (if you feel the need to that is). Its just black bodywork with a HM plant sticker kit, nowt fancy, looks good in pictures though
I'm in no rush to sell this in particular, just feeling the waters out there, just a waste sat in my garage thb. If there's enough intrest I will consider breaking the bike up.
Bikes located in Hull. Best offer over £1200 quid would prize it from my grasp  O0

    Thanks for your time

    Re: CBR600 FX race/track bike

Just having trouble justifying the expense at the moment. I did Oulton last week and it was the thick end of 300 quid when I totted all the bills up Surprise

Hopefully it'll be just for a couple of years. I'm going to sell this and my GSXR 750 and get myself a new road bike. Start doing a few more road miles (I hardly done any over the past 5 years !). I've had an urge to buy a 749 or a 999 for a good while now, time to scratch that itch methinks. Even if I cant afford the petrol I can always enjoy cleaning the thing in my garage Geeked

    Re: CBR600 FX race/track bike

    Honest answers Cool

     1. No

     2. No idea.

     3. God only knows, no odometer !

     4. Just usual oil and filters since I've owned it. Was given a comprehensive race prep by Zak Barry early in 2006 as stated in advert

     5. See 1, 2 and 3 Smile

This is a ex race bike, not a converted road bike Devil

I've got a guy coming to view it Saturday, he's planning on racing it next year. So sounds promising, just got to work out were to hide the cash from my other half, lol !.

     Hope that lot helped.
