    nuts and bolts

can anyone recommend a decent supplier off stainless stell nuts and bolts?  I want a large bag of mixed sizes so I can change them on the bike as I go along.  Tastynuts do stuff but they seem very expensive for the standard stuff.

    Re: nuts and bolts

I can recommend where I buy them from for my work Apex stainless, but you need to place orders of about £5000 a month with them to get an account.

I don't really know any motorcycle specific places, but theirs  a fastener company nxt door to us I use when desperate ( R+G 01543 679274 ) but you will need all the sizes etc to pass over to him.

Also theres a guy who is on the road I sometimes use, travels all round the Midlands delivering called Boultsmith 07967 016761 £20 minimum order though, and as I say I have business accounts with these so not sure if they can help you.

    Re: nuts and bolts

£20 seems alright.  As I say, I need a bix bag of mixed stuff so I can replace the soft as butter standard shite for the stainless nuts and bolts.

    Re: nuts and bolts

Try these. I get all my stuff here. No minimum order!

Yesterday i tried to replace my tax disc in the holder but the bolts don't seem to be a std allen key size. Took it down there and asked if he could change all the bolts for me for some that worked. Instead he found me an Allen key that actually fitted and replaced one of the nuts.....total cost 50p!!!! Not many places left like that these days. I've also replaced the exhuast bolts there with stainless..cost me about £1.20p!
