    yeah meeee.Big Smile

I really thought last week that the biking season was over and today I was proven wrong.

It was excellent. I've been out riding for over 6 hours today and the grip on the tarmac was just as good as in the middle of summer.Cool

I've changed my mind about wales on Thursday Blade, If u want we could meet up late morning at c&f and do the sheffiled tour and then back on Longhill later in the afternoon.Stick out tongue

I've been to the local filling station and back.

So which road is the C&F on and how do you get there? I'll have to do it one day.

    Re: Great Ride

Oh... and the roads around here that have been dry and grippy for weeks are now wet, slimey (from the salt) and a bit on the slidey side....

It's fun of sorts I guess Smile

Hi Blade, I met you early on in the year on long hill. I was on a black GSXR1000 and you told me about the site, Signed in a few months back but then been really busy with all sorts of holidays, trackdays and stuff. Sounds like your still fooling around on the hill and C+F. Hopefully I'll catch up with you again sometime when your all out. Are you still doing trackdays and if so maybe I could tag along with you guys on some next year. Duncan.

    Re: Great Ride

Hi Fast Freddie great to hear from you Yes

I think I will be fooling around on Longhill and C+F until i die Embarrassed or I'm too old to throw a leg over a bike so hopefully see you up there soon. Sounds like you have been having a good time where have you been doing track days ?

I did about 5 at Oulton park this year before I had to stop due to wrecking the Blade in a big off but thats another story. You can't keep a good man down though and I went and bought a SP2 about 4 weeks ago and done 1000 miles already. I'm a massive Colin Edwards fans and the SP2 is my dream bike so I'm like a pig sh!t at the moment Wink

Will definitley get some track action next year so keep in touch the more the better. I have met quite a few guys who either do track days or want to start up on the C+F this year so should be able to get a few of us to Oulton next year and you never know a few of the guys from the midlands on here might come too I ve been trying to persude them all year.

Mr Flibble would be great to meet you and show you some of our local roads. the C+F is the Cat + Fiddle A537 road which runs Macclesfield to Buxton located in Derbyshire. Heres some more information:

Ray will check the weather tomorrow and if its good I will be out speak in the morning Yes

    Mr Flibble:

So which road is the C&F on and how do you get there? I'll have to do it one day.

between Buxton and Mac. and Cat & Fiddle pub in the middle, but the middle left section of the road is the best bit, full of tight bends up and down hills and sweeping bends with at least 40 corners and the straight bits arent even straight, they turn and twist every where.Just a brilliant road when its nice and quiet.6 miles of pure joy and pleasure.Cool

    heres the map:

    Re: Great Ride

Thanks for the info. I'll have to try and get a pass out sometime.

That part of the world seems to have some damn fine roads and spectacular scenery.

When I go to Oulton Park I usually take the Woodhead pass (A628) and I know the Snake Pass (A57?) is fairly close by too.

I thought the roads around the Lincolnshire Wolds were good biking roads but it looks like they ain't the best Big Smile

    Re: Great Ride

Snake Pass is much better than Woodhead. Give me and Ray a shout next time you fancy Oulton should be a few interested Yes
