    Sunday Superbikes

Some good racing again today, Monza is a cracking circuit isn't it? Good old Max!!

And as for Brands, what about that second race? Talk about drama!!! They got beaten by a car!!!

    Re: Sunday Superbikes

The brands weekend was great value for money - especially as it was on my half used ticket from April! Having the MRO guys (and gal) there at the same meeting meant there was plenty of racing action over the 2 days and even though there were a few red flags they managed to keep to schedule.

It must have been quite an experience for the MRO guys on the Sunday too - racing in the swelled crowd and getting trophies from racing heros from te BSB paddock!

It's good to see Shakey doing well at his home track - I bet he was kicking himself when the second race was red flagged. He was awesome at Surtees and made some good overtaking moves stick there - outside , inside or in the middle! Shame about Sykes in the second race but he got a good podium in the first. If his luck starts changing it can't be long before he starts winning races.

Leon must try harder (or maybe that's the problem). He went wide at Surtees and lost a strong position in race 2. Race 1 could have been better if he'd made a decent start of it.

I didn't take my camera but got this on my phone....

Actually it would seem that my phone takes a better picture than my digi camera Smile

The racing was great and the weather was perfect. Smile  Roll on Donington Park (where no doubt it will snow again!).

shakey is just winning all races again, it's just boring. He should be in the WSB really. Haga did great in Monza, I think it was the 1st time I actually saw him win a race.

He might be winning alot of the races but the racing is still close and he's having to work for his wins.

For the last couple of seasons people have taken an early lead in the championship but lost it later in the season.

There are a whole load of front runners that could take the challenge to shakey but for various reasons (luck, trying to hard (Leon)) they haven't made the breakthrough yet. There's also alot of suprises with the control tyre and other rule changes levelling out the playing field a bit.

Maybe if Shakey wins this year he'll get his WSBK chance. The factory Ducati team will be looking for atleast 1 rider and suspect they'll actually lose their second rider next year and go for 2.

Yep. It's marketed as a camera with a phone attached rather than the other way around. It's one of those Samsung phones that actually has optical zoom built in and can be used just like any other digital camera. It's 5Mpx which is plenty and takes a better picture than my proper digi camera which is 8Mpx!

I was helped with this picture though as it was at surtees so the riders are slowing down a bit and you can get fairly close to the action.

    Re: Sunday Superbikes

It is a good photo.  Some of these new digi camera do seem to be shit though.  I have my old Olympus 3.2Mpix camera that took far better pics than the 7.2mpix Casio Elixe I bought for Kate.  And my Sony Erric phone at 3.2Mpix also does a better job (just no zoom on it)

I wouldn't buy a camera just on Mpix value now.  I'd rather go for a name that you can trust as a good camera brand, even if it does have lower Mpix.  I heard around 3Mpix is the best the eye can see anyway, when you print out the pics on regular sized photo paper.
