Anyone had experience of the Shiver ? I am thinking of taking that route for my next bike so is there anything that should stop me?

They've not sold very well.  According to the reports they lack power, punch and poise.  On the plus side they are supposed to handle well and are very comfortable

They share the same engine and the RSV, I had there map in there for a few hours, as my eprom chip was playing up so I tried a friends who had a shiver, power was a little low compared to the RSV, but it was still good. And I am guessing you can shove a remapped Eprom on there. Very easily available, I got mine for £15 off ebay. Made a massive difference.

Obviously depends on air filter and can, as a different map without these may hinder performance. 

I thought the shiver was about 750cc?  Is it a thou?

I think the trouble with the Shiver is a lot of the potential customers have gone for the Street Triple instead.

Shiver is a 750... I have a Daytona 675 sort of street fighter.. and the plan was to build a street triple as most of the parts are better..? quality allegedly.. the main problem is the head down stuff really makes my wrists and neck hurt if going out for a days ride... so sitting a bit more upright as on my divi 600 would be nice but the daytona top yoke/clip-on style bars make the job a dockyard effort, i thought about turning the bars upside down and redrilling the brake master cylinder mounting but really would like a bolt on job leaving the original kit intact should I decide to sell it.. Any one bought bar end mirrors? I know you have Kwacky..lol

 

 

 

 

I've seen Kwacky's bar end mirrors.  Very smart.  Rizomo or sommet. He has some raised bars too, also look smart.  And the bar ends, and the levers, and the mini indicators, and the can... only the number plate hanger was standard, no .... wait - that was gonna be changed too, lol.

Its a very nice looking and sounding bike. As long as outright power is not what you are after then it would be a good buy, i reckon.

There was one at Bassetts Pole the other week and i didn't know what it was to start with. it's Good to be different!

Have you seen these bars, Gadget? They are not cheap but could be exactly what you are after to convert your 675 to something more comfortable.
