I've had the fairings off for the first time today to change the oil and filter.

The fasteners all came off now problem, no seizures no rounded bolt heads, no furring at all.

The engine casings are like those of a brand new bike...quick wipe down with the cloth where the road muck gets thrown up by the front wheel and they are like new too.

With a few hours with a cloth only, you could genuinely sell the bike as new despite the fact its done 16000 miles.

The only black mark is where some muppet has changed the coolant and let it spill on the radiator making the paint bubble up.

Top marks...i like Hondas !

Quality at the price of boredom

Yams aren't that far off the mark but it still depends on how the bike is looked after too.

The only bikes I've been put off buying are the value for money Suzukis and the Trumpets.

Nowt boring about having a well-engineered well made bike.

 

What is boring though is having a bike that doesn't start when you want it too. Won't be making that mistake again!

I dont mind what the make of a bike is as long as it handles well round corners and the only makes of bikes I've been disappointed with were Ducati and Fireblade.

I've never tried a Yam but the ZX10 and the gixxers I've had they were great. I've tried speed tripple and that was good too but I really didnt like the FB and the duke that I tried.

Forgot to say how brilliant my Tuono is btw.

Honda's arent that great, the biaaaaaaach has a VFR4, and its shit, infact it wont ever start, ever, I even put new plugs in and it still wont start, biggest pile of poo poo I have ever worked on, all the bolts are seized and then round off too, Honda quality my ass!

comon now honda lovers its a common knowledge amongst most track enthusiasts that Honda make not so hot production bikes but they probably make the greatest racing bikes. 

I do accept that build quality is better than anything else but normal production bikes dont handle well compared with gixxers and kwacks or yams.
