Track bike & tuono dyno results

I had 4 things done.  It seems that when i crashed the bike at Nogaro, my mate Darren had to fix the exhaust headers, and fitted some off of a falco, so that had to be changed first, then i had an open renegade airbox fitted (no airbox at all basically), can repacked, and then a pc111 fitted.  I decided against a full system.

I did dyno runs after each upgrade.  Interestingly, the biggest gain was changing the exhaust header back to a standard RSV ones !! What a donut, been riding around with the wrong exhaust on it for 4 years !!

Power up from 121.5 at the wheel to 128.3. The best bit however is how the power curve has smoothed out around 8000 rpm. It seems the pc111 has made little difference. Tuono to follow.

The way it looks to me is that the airbox made the biggest difference?  Or was that not before the headers?

    Ah yes you're right.

Bike sounds mental now, im a bit wary of the QA throttle and lower gearing its going to be a bit lively coming out of devils elbow !!! Steer clear of me i say !

those are nice looking curves.  It looks like the power is delivered in a nice linear fashion.  No peaks and troughs.

Ket, we always stay out of your way Wink

I think I'll be safe in a different group.  I'll make sure I'm on the straight with a camcorder though Wink

Thats a nice torque curve too, the PC made a big difference to that.

It was the exhaust really that flattened the curve.  In fact early in the rev range - the PCIII seems to cause some kind of spluttering.

Basically  - dont' let the bike drop below 5k revs!

I can't see that its made any difference. However, ive never ever ridden a bike with a pc11, and if i remember correctly, i revved my mates rsv once that had a pc11 and it felt very crisp off the throttle ? We shall see.

Sorry, I was looking at the blue line for some reason. PC seems to have made hardly any difference at all.
